Marti Miller Hubbell lives on a ranch in the oak-studded hills of the central (coastal) area of California, where her husband John bases his stocker cattle operation. Not far away, her parents and brother run the cattle ranch where she was raised, (which was homesteaded by her great-great grandfather in 1882). Marti's lifestyle has provided her with the invaluable asset of experience. Whether it is the tenderness of a mother cow with her new calf or the strength of weathered ranch hands, she has a deep understanding of the American West and its resilient inhabitants. She hopes to convey her great love for these subjects through her artwork! |
