 California Classics

Joe was born and raised in southern California at the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. He attended Pasadena City College and the Art Center College of Design. Joe has brought back the pen and ink drawing as a rich new force, taking the modern day cowboy and depicting with accuracy his life and the beauty of the open range, from the oak woodlands to the high desert. His view is that of a romantic poet, "Nothing compares to the fluid motion of horse and rider." Joe has been named the Official Artist of the National Reined Cow Horse Association.
