 California Classics

Our California Classics' headstalls are made of the finest leathers. The middle and upper grades are lined and stitched for strength and durability. They are all hand finished with polished edges (no dye to fake an edge). They may be ordered plain or with a variety of custom sterling or sterling and gold appointments in single ear, split ear, or California full bridle (with a variety of brow band styling).

Historic, parade, duplications or custom headstalls are options in sizes to meet your needs. Our buckles are hand stitched on California Classics' headstalls rather than cheaply installed with Chicago screws.

Kit came out of retirement to model this 1/4 in. 16 plait bosalito with forelock hanger and 16 ft. braided poly getdown rope with kangaroo buttons, and horsehair tassel with popper. She is also sporting a basket stamped headstall which was modeled after the Visalia #205 featuring classic Schaezlein sterling silver. (Unfortunately, no the EG spade is not for sale. It is Dorothy's mare's favorite).

Harness Leather Headstall is made from Wickett and Craig harness leather and lined with Salz latigo. The oval buckles are good stainless and the throat latch has a roller buckle. It is available in 3/4 and 5/8 inch widths. Please specify.

Working Brow Band Headstall is double stitched and lined latigo 3/4 inch wide. The cart buckles have been upgraded to good stainless (rather than chrome plated). The cart buckles and leather laced bit ends make this most durable of headstalls for everyday use.
