Conchos for spur straps are made of heavier gauge silver to take the beating that your hard riding will give them. The rope edge actually helps with retaining the shape. Above are two of the conchos that will be part of a commemorative martingale presented to Sheila Varian marking her Golden Jubilee of breeding Arabian Horses. It is still in progress since these five conchos are on their way down from R. Schaezlein and Son, the makers. We are making the martingale which will feature a wild rose to coordinate with Sheila's George Michel saddle. The sixth concho is a 3.5 inch piece with gold logo V and 50 year banner. |
